Having the same exact problem. It started within the last 3 or 4 days. Software had worked flawlessly for over a year, now it won't launch.

I'm a paid customer. Now every time i try to launch pinnacle, it shows the loading screen (the first time i try), then I get a silent crash with no error displayed or error sound. It just never launches. Fails on both automatic and manual start. The process starts but doesn't display a UI.

The 2nd time i launch, i get nothing. If i kill the process in the task manager: pinnacle.32.exe runing, 28k RAM and 2% cpu, and relaunch, i once more get the loading screen followed by nothing. I tried to attach a zip of pinnacle.DMP (dump from task manager) but forum said it was too large. Windows event log also has this at restart.

I was finally able to fix this by doing the following: NOTE: this workaround caused all my settings to be lost, but kept my profiles (.pins). DISCLAIMER: this is risky business, as it involves changing the registry and can seriously f your computer over.

(windows programs remove to uninstall - latest installer from pinnacle downloads for re-install).

Anyway, I will try to restate what I said in my reply: I don't seem to be having the same problem that jinn is having, as my Pinnacle NEVER shows any sort of loading or starting screen before giving me error messages. Additionally, Task Manager shows that the process is not running.

I'm hoping that the mods will be able to figure something out? If you need any more information, I will happily volunteer it.
